Chapter 31.

Hiya pals!

And so our adventure in land of unicorns came to end. We are alive and at home safely.
On Sunday we had a huge cleaning process. Did we really lived whole this time in this kind of dirt and mess? Ok ok this sounds terrible, but some place were really dirty like for example oven and shelves. Anyway, we left place shiny and clean as we never seen it like that before. It was so sad and weird to leave our flat knowing that we won't come back here anymore. Well, of course we'll visit Glasgow and Paisley someday but it will be different experience.

After leaving our keys at the reception, we had to wait for taxi for about an hour. The receptionist said that they called us a taxi but it never came :D After panicking that we will be late for flight, we decided to call ourselves. We learned that never let somebody else to take care of anything, you will have to do it yourself anyway !

Our luggage were heavy as hell. Sorry taxi-driver :D We hope yer back is okay. Because our hurts a bit. Anyone ready to give us a massage? Please? What a relief it was to leave our baggage at airport and continue our way.

When our plane rose both started crying a bit. Truth is as we have been saying before, that Scotland became a home. It was like a piece of heart (so cliche but so true..) were left there. And then we felt so empty inside. We didn't even cry when we left Finland, but Scotland.. Does it say enough ? We really enjoyed there.

We had intermediate stop in Amsterdam where we had to spend about four-five hours.. Two ours we were at the restaurant drinking beer and eating burger while falling asleep. Next hours we just walked around (can you believe that we didn't buy anything at Victoria's Secret?! Yeah we either..) and sitting. We haven't used to wake up so early and well, flight is always a stressful thing and takes a lot of energy. Waiting was frustrating but went pretty fast.

On our flight from Amsterdam to Helsinki we had some Finnish people traveling same way. And we had a huge shock. Is culture shock possible at home? In Helsinki everything was on Finnish. So weird and too easy. :D We really had to strain not to speak anything of people there in Finnish because we were used to do that in Scotland. :D

What a joy it was to meet our dear friend Emi who came to meet us and Henna's boyfriend. Familiar faces! Road to home was fun. Like seriously, Marna laughed without stopping the whole time. If she stopped, somebody said something funny (or not) and laugh scene started again (sorry guys :D I was tired and happy!). And everybody else just tried to internalize the situation that we actually were in Finland again. And Emi and Mikael were real and it really wasn't a dream. :D

Next days we had pretty hectic running around after stuff like new operators and keys for apartment and millions of friends who wanted to see us. So yeah, soon we will be ready for everyday routine. It was crazy that in shop we really didn't have to translate those amounts into euros because they were in euros already. Shocking. :D While driving around Marina couldn't stop admiring Finnish nature. Oh how we missed these forests. It was a really warm and lovely day (NO WIND <3<3<3<333<33) and we just enjoyed home. Today we might go for a ride, for just driving around familiar places. And talk about our longing to Scotland. Is it really over? Or was it just a dream?

Cheers mates !

Chapter 30.

At first we though about writing this chapter in Finnish for change. Just because feeling a bit tired (of being lazy) but then realized that it's just... fun to write in English :D And we are all about fun so yeah. Yes, it is harder but hey, no pain no gain? About that..

Today we though about things we learned and improved on this trip. This task we have to do in Finland later, but I think all of this things won't be so acceptable or appropriate. We won't write them down back home but we'll be happy to share them with you. So, let's make a small list (please, some of them are just a joke):

- By watching serials, we learned from Gossip Girl about fashion, from Suits some law things, from Pretty Little Liars how not to be surprised about anything weird and to be patient (WHO THE F*** IS A?). From Dexter we learned... well, how to kill and slice people and don't get caught. From all of them we learned also that don't lie about anything, because the truth will come out anyway.
- Learned some Bulgarian and French swearwords. Freaking wizard gays.... (Ps. Teo, we miss you singing THE song).
- Improved in being more open. Also we had freedom of speech. We can say anything to people without they knowing what we are saying in Finnish. What a relief to say anything you want ! All you need is a smile. What you are saying, they don't have to know. We are quite scared about that when we'll go back to Finland.. We are used to gossip too much. We're gonna get punched in the face (with a chair).
- Improved in English !!!!! Maybe the most important thing. See, we are writing in English without putting much pressure on it (and you can see it from all mistakes).
- Learned how to pack all our four moths stuff in one luggage (per person of course (okay, Hemppe has two big ones... more money spend with her).
- How to spend money.
- How to appreciate some of Finnish food and treats.
- It is totally normal to drive on the left side of the road. Aaaand we gonna die in Finland. So friends back there, please help us.

So yeah, here's some things we wanted to share for now. We noticed that we have grown up here. This exchange has been a good thing for both of us. Two days left, really?! Starting realizing for real that this is coming to an end.

Today we got our grades and well, let's say that pass is enough for us (not that bad). To be honest, it has been hard to concentrate on studying when there are so much things to see (new episodes for example.... [ok this sounds like we don't have a life but honestly, we have been doing lot's of other things too!]).

By the way! Happy National Doughnut Day! We almost thought we're gonna miss and not get any donuts because we remembered about this too late. All shops were already closed at 7pm. Except for lovely Morrison we though we never gonna visit again.. Oh, what you are ready to do for donuts! Anything. Even to walk to Morrisons (it is so far (like 15 minutes walking.......). It shouldn't be surprising that leaving shop besides donuts we had some ice cream, strawberries, cake.. Well, it's gonna be sweet weekend for us :D

Today we packed all our four moths belonging to luggage and we think we made a pretty success. It is POSSIBLE to close the suitcases. But yeah, no more shopping.. (haha u wish).

Yesterday we made a little walk around University to take some pictures of it. Just to remember. Before that we made a quick visit to Aman's place to drop some things. Enjoy your new mirror ! It was scary to carry it through people. We didn't want to get seven years of unlucky and most of you might know us... We are not so careful with things :D Anyway, mirror survived and so did we.

Tomorrow is a huge cleaning project. Wish us luck.
Let us now leave you to enjoy of some pictures of great UWS:

As you see, our home is really close

Well hello Aman !

Chapter 29.

Howdy hey!
Yup, there are only 6 days left! Can you believe that? About four months ago we arrived to this unknown land and made a home here. Hard to let it go now (nope nope nope frozen song get out of my mind right now).

Our plans for the rest of the days? Sadly, nothing special. We thought it through and decided just to chill and enjoy lovely Paisley. Well yeah and there is still the money issues..:D Week ago Marna got a message that her debit card was closed. Aye, life sucks sometimes. Somebody had her information or something and thank God bank noticed that. But just one question, who want to broke a poor student's card? :DDD like there would be any money..Anyway, now it's just means more problems for us.

So, a couple days ago we went for a walk because it was finally sunny (yes, it has been raining every day here for couple weeks now..) and took some pictures of...ourselves. And we did some things we wanted to do since we got here, for example we visited Paisley museum! It was pretty nice and simple.

Today we tried to fit our all clothes to the bag and the disappointment.. They fitted too easily!!!! That means we need more stuff....what?! Also we made our last walk to Morrisons and filled fridge with food (and some sweets ofc).

Our plans for following days is to visit Glasgow for the last time (last shopping time, oh gosh gonna miss that a little..) and just to enjoy. It is funny, because we knew this day will come, day when we have to leave. We have seen so much and all our friends kinda left us already. Can't say that we don't have anything to do but you know.. We have been ready and that's why leaving doesn't feel so bad. We are actually waiting for going home! It is sad to leave this place, it has so much good things. But we can't do anything. We have to just move on or something haha.

Thumbs up !

Kristen Stewart ?!

don't even dare to ask..

But yeah, now we'll go for now and continue our booty-challenge. Don't even ask why... (good train they said, much health they said..wow).

See ya later, alligator!

Chapter 28.

Marina's skills level 100000000000000+
Thoughts.

So there is ONLY 14 days left for us here in Scotland. After that our plane will take us back to Finland. Back to home. Is it okay that Scotland kind of become a home for us, too? And we had a new family here. People started leaving Storie Street.. So sad :(

Soon it would be four months since we moved here as exchange students. Time flies too fast! Well, at least for us.. Sometimes you think that you haven't done anything but in the other hand you have seen so much and done things. You just have to bring them into your mind again. Like reading our old posts over and over again :D Love it.

We had experienced so much. We've seen lots of new places and fell in love with Scottish nature, learned how to live here. We learned how to use pounds (yes, we do know differences of all coins now and it don't take us eternity to find right ones), we understand Scottish accent (well sometimes we still have a problems with that but still..), we know how and where to find things and information.
Our first friend

We met awesome people here. First days we got our rooms, Henna decided to sleep at Marna's room and so happened that she just stayed and we lived together since that (Henna used her room only for a week when her bf came for a visit) :D We met Marina's flatmates together and Hemppe become part of the family!

At the beginning, we were really scared about meeting flatmates and that we have to share a kitchen with them. Henna has never lived with somebody else random (and Marina never saw her flatmates in her previous apartment..). And well, we hated that idea of sharing and compulsory communication with the others. We are Finnish - unsocial, shy people and we would have to meet people at the mornings? No way in Hell! Let's stay in closed room.

Thankfully we didn't do that. We decided to be brave. Yolo is our motto, now through life apparently! Nowadays, we are not sure how we gonna leave this place or what we gonna to do when everyone are left. Just two of us in whole flat. Kitchen is like our living room and we spend lot's of time there cooking/baking or just hanging with roommates.

Everyone of our flatmates are special and kind and funny and good friends for us. As we mentioned before, we are a big family:

-Bulgarian guy Teodor, fork/broccoli-man is like a big brother we never had and always eating too healthy! Always teasing and joking about us but still, our friend who just have to stand us.

- Jenni, our big sister! You understand us as a Finn. You left us first and we miss you a lot! :( Thank god you are as crazy as we are and we definitely gonna meet in Finland again!

-Our French guy, Aurélien. Note for Finns: if you try to pronouns his name right, trust us. You will never get it right. That's why we call him: John, A, creepy-man, cereal friend, carrot boy.. he has too many different names. Man with his cereals and crazy mind. Do you have hangover today mate? Hangoverhangoverhangoverhangover...

-French chicka Delphine! We still have to come up with some nicknames for you. Wait for it :D Is "the best sushi cooker" fine? You are the coolest french girl we know! And sorry for baking so much. Don't hate us and #fuckthefitnessfeelthefatness.

 - Oh and Spanish one. Thank you for those moments we saw you :D

We learned so much about other cultures (mostly about Bulgaria haha) and to understand others' accents. Every one of us learned a lot and improved.

We met people at school, when traveling and through friends'. We met Aman boy on our first trip to Harry Potter bridge and since then he has been a big help and friend for us! Thanks for standing us. But you know, we are the best company you can get so enjoy haha! Peace.
There are many people we met, it would take a lot of time to write about everyone. We hope pictures will cover that!
It was nice opportunity to meet people on ISUKTours. Thanks for the guides for great trips. And the great places we had a chance to visit ! Without you we wouldn't probably visit that much places in UK. Big thank you for all of you, Hoji, Ola, Amit and others !

One night drunk friend.
This is Ludovic. He is nice (hehe).

Teodor-style

Omg teamwork here??

Guess who

Yes, we know some Scottish people too :D It was a pleasure to know them and to do school groupworks with (MarkOps - never forget). There are moments we were not sure what you just said but we can just listen your accent for days, so we don't mind. Hope nodding is enough for an answer.

Thank you also the greatest teacher of all-time, James Watt. What would we do without your lectures twice a week ? And how we're gonna survive without your teasing in lectures about us and our weird culture ?! And muffins.. What we gonna eat now?! Yeah, enjoy your Finlandia-vodka with Irn-Bru and some Finnish chocolate. And thanks for the free coffee !

And us.. sorry for being so annoying with our puerility (Pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbow...). We are just crazy like-twins with weird ideas. How we gonna just leave you not seeing you again every morning and day? How about our common jokes and deep/meaningless conversations? Damn. Thanks for making us suffer.

For Henna's flatmates two floor below, oh dear Germans. Sorry for Henna being a ghost for you. Or, at least you heard her once in a while (sorry about that, disturbing your "silence" :D).

For Finnish friends and relatives.. This doesn't mean that we don't miss you! We can't wait to see you too. It has been too long since we talked properly and we just want to see you irl. And we will meet soon! Just a couple of weeks more, you will get us back.

Anyway. We still have time here in Scotland! We still have things to see but they are pretty impossible because of lack of money. But one day, we'll definitely come back to Scotland! But the rest of the days here for now.. Let's not spend our time at home. We have to go out, it's summer coming (please rain, go away)! Meaningless walks without aim are the best ones.

So overall, thanks to everyone we had chance to meet here in Scotland! (and flatmates, thanks for the food) You can't even imagine how much we gonna miss you all and we definitely gonna remember you till our last days (well until dementia will hit us). Thank you for showing places and experiencing everything with us. You are biggest part of our adventure.

And now all guys are like "dah, girls.."
